NEW SECTION added to Chapter 13-32
A superintendent, principal, teacher, or other individual having disciplinary authority over a student may not subject a student to disciplinary action for failing to return any routine consent form contained in a school handbook, which is required to be signed annually by a parent or guardian at the beginning of a school year. A superintendent, principal, teacher, or other individual having disciplinary authority over a student may not reward or otherwise incentivize a student for returning any completed routine consent form contained in a school handbook, which is required to be signed annually by a parent or guardian at the beginning of a school year. 13
