Changes to Existing Law

Each municipality shall designate at a meeting of its governing body an official newspaper or newspapers, for all legal and other official notices that must be published by law, for a period of time, not to be less than twelve months, specified by the governing body in a resolution. The newspaper shall be published in the municipality. However, if there is no newspaper published in the municipality, then a newspaper published outside of the municipality may be used if the newspaper serves the municipality. The newspaper must meet the requirements established pursuant to chapter 17-2. 11
