South Dakota homeowners with single-family dwellings will receive a property tax credit of up to $500 on their 2027 tax bills, with the state covering the lost tax revenue through a $120 million appropriation from the general and budget reserve funds. The bill transfers $60 million from the housing infrastructure fund to the general fund to help pay for this credit program.
