The amendment added dozens of co-sponsors from both chambers of the legislature to the commemoration recognizing National FFA Week, and removed the line numbers from the enrolled version, but made no substantive changes to the resolution's content or purpose.

Representatives Bahmuller, Aylward, Baxter, Czmowski, Emery, Goodwin, Healy, Heermann, Hughes, Jordan, Kolbeck (Jack), Kull, Moore, Mortenson, Muckey, Novstrup, Overweg, Peterson (Drew), Reimer, Schaefbauer, Schwans, Stevens, Van Diepen, Walburg, and Wittman and Senators Crabtree, Davis, Deibert, Hulse, Jensen (Kevin), Perry, Pischke, Reed, Schoenfish, Voita, Wipf, and Zikmund A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION recognizing National FFA week. 1 WHEREAS, the FFA Organization is represented in every state and in South Dakota through 2 the South Dakota FFA Association, which is comprised of one hundred thirteen chapters and 3 more than six thousand three hundred members serving communities in every region of this 4 state; and 5 WHEREAS, agricultural education and FFA provide a vital foundation for the youth of South 6 Dakota and the nation, strengthening the future of agriculture, food production, natural 7 resources, and rural communities; and 8 WHEREAS, FFA promotes leadership, personal growth, and career success among its 9 members; and 10 WHEREAS, FFA members are encouraged to practice integrity, respect, and service, while 11 honoring the opportunities and responsibilities inherent in agriculture and rural life; and 12 WHEREAS, agricultural education and FFA ensure a continuous pipeline of skilled, 13 knowledgeable, and innovative young professionals to meet the evolving needs of modern 14 agriculture; and 15 WHEREAS, the FFA motto, “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to 16 Serve,” reflects the values of hard work, responsibility, and community service embraced by 17 its members; and 18 WHEREAS, FFA fosters citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism, and cooperation among 19 students, strengthening both their communities and our state; 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the 21 State of South Dakota, that National FFA Week will be held from February 21-28, 2026. 22
