Representatives Aylward, Emery, Greenfield, Jordan, Moore, Muckey, Novstrup, and Roby and Senators Duhamel and Perry A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION commending the Harrisburg Tigers on their 2026 1 Class AA state gymnastics championship. 2 WHEREAS, the Harrisburg Tigers gymnastics team displayed another year of supremacy, 3 again winning the Eastern South Dakota Conference and Metro Conference meets; and 4 WHEREAS, the Harrisburg Tigers gymnastics team's score of 151.4834 secured their 5 second Class AA state gymnastics title; and 6 WHEREAS, outstanding performances in the individual competitions led to first-place 7 finishes for Katelyn Maeschen in the Class AA all around, vault, bars, beam, and floor 8 competitions; a second-place finish for Lilly Gusso in the floor competition; and a third-place 9 finish in the beam competition for Emery Myron; and 10 WHEREAS, Ailee Johnson, Jersy Tryon, Hadley Moody, Jaycie Adams, Laela Vincent, 11 Kennedy Malloy, and Manager Miranda Fokken all made exceptional contributions to the team; 12 and 13 WHEREAS, the team's success was driven by the stalwart coaching of head coach Callie 14 Aylward and assistant coaches Abby Christiansen and Hailey Handevidt; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the 16 State of South Dakota, that the Harrisburg Tigers gymnastics team is the 2026 Class AA state 17 gymnastics champion. 18
