ENROLLED AN ACT A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION Honoring honoring the life and achievements of the late Charlie 1 Kirk. 2 WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk was born on October 14, 1993, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and 3 rose to prominence as a dedicated advocate for American values and the American way of 4 life; and 5 WHEREAS, at the age of 18, Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA, an organization 6 committed to promoting free markets, limited government, fiscal responsibility, and 7 constitutional liberties among young people on college campuses across the nation; and 8 WHEREAS, through Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk inspired thousands of students and 9 fostered a new generation of young leaders and activists who engaged in civic discourse and 10 political participation; and 11 WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk served as a close ally and advisor to President Donald J. Trump, 12 contributing to national policy discussions and grassroots efforts that emphasized patriotism, 13 economic opportunity, and individual freedoms; and 14 WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk's influential voice reached millions through his radio show, 15 podcasts, books, and public speaking engagements, all of which he used to champion causes 16 such as border security, religious liberty, and the protection of Second Amendment rights; 17 and 18 WHEREAS, on September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was tragically assassinated while 19 addressing an audience at Utah Valley University, cutting short a life of profound impact at 20 the age of 31; and 21 26.280.11 26.280.12 2 HCR6002 Underscores indicate new language.
