The amendment removes requirements that members and spouses provide copies of government-issued photo identification when withdrawing contributions or applying for retirement benefits, instead requiring only that applications be submitted to the executive director on an approved form. This WEAKENS the bill's identification verification provisions by eliminating the specific ID documentation mandate while keeping the basic application requirement.
