The state will spend $5 million to buy a new airplane for the Highway Patrol Division and install equipment on it. The bill declares an emergency so the spending can take effect immediately rather than waiting for the normal budget process. Any money not spent will be returned to the general fund according to standard procedures.
This bill does not directly amend codified state law.
