(Kevin), Crabtree, Duhamel, Perry, and Zikmund and Representatives Aylward, Emery, Lems, Moore, Muckey, and Shubeck A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION honoring the 2025-2026 Canton C-Hawk girls 1 wrestling team. 2 WHEREAS, the Canton C-Hawk girls won the Region 2 regional tournament for the second 3 consecutive year in February 2026; and 4 WHEREAS, the Canton C-Hawk girls had thirteen disciplined and dedicated wrestlers 5 qualify for the state tournament; and 6 WHEREAS, the 2026 C-Hawk state qualifiers were Jewel Gannon (100 pounds), Charlee 7 Ann Winter (105 pounds), Avery Kranz (110 pounds), Nayeli Ortega (115 pounds), Brooke 8 Warejcka (120 pounds), Finley Evjen (125 pounds), Marin Rhode (130 pounds), Kenzie King 9 (140 pounds), Lakynn Qualseth (145 pounds), Alyssa McCracken (155 pounds), Sophia Larsen 10 (170 pounds), Natalia Long (190 pounds), and Kori Wallner (235 pounds); and 11 WHEREAS, each C-Hawk girl wrestling in the placement rounds won her match, and 12 Brooke Warejcka (120 pounds) and Finley Evjen (125 pounds) won state championships for 13 the C-Hawks; and 14 WHEREAS, the C-Hawk girls team lived up to the high expectations set by coaches Camron 15 Groenke, Jeremy Ask, Brandon Jarman, and Jason Bartels; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the 17 State of South Dakota, that the Canton C-Hawk girls are great competitors, great leaders, 18 and the 2026 State Wrestling Tournament champions. 19
