Overstrikes indicate deleted language. and Representative Heinemann A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION celebrating the life and legacy of Casey Joe 1 Wilson. 2 WHEREAS, Casey was the beloved husband of Carleen; father of Ailee, Landree, Breck, 3 and Bryer; son of Randy and Darla; brother of Cody and Cullen; and friend to all; and 4 WHEREAS, Casey was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and his 5 love for team roping allowed him to travel across the country and participate in numerous 6 rodeo competitions; and 7 WHEREAS, Casey was a proud member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe; and 8 WHEREAS, Casey was a skilled farrier, gifted craftsman, passionate musician, and shrewd 9 businessman; and 10 WHEREAS, Casey loved life and carried with him a deep appreciation for the people and 11 places that helped form the man he was; and 12 WHEREAS, Casey was instrumental in founding the South Dakota shared parenting 13 movement and never hesitated in advocating for his belief that children should have the 14 greatest possible opportunity to cultivate healthy relationships with both parents; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the 16 State of South Dakota, that Casey Joe Wilson gave so much of himself to his family, friends, 17 and community, and in return, the Legislature extends its sincerest condolences to his family. 18
