20:10:19:02.01Establishment or reestablishment of satisfactory

credit for nonresidential service. To establish or reestablish satisfactory credit for nonresidential service, a utility may require an applicant for service or a customer to comply with the following: (1) Make a cash deposit of not more than one-sixth of the estimated annual bill or increase an existing deposit to that level; (2) Be placed on an early payments list in accordance with §20:10:19:05; (3) Provide a letter of credit or post a surety bond for an amount not to exceed the total of the customer's indebtedness for utility service; or (4) Negotiate another option with the utility. The utility must give notice not less than 15 days preceding the day a deposit or early payment is required. If a customer does not pay a bill in full, the utility may require that customer to comply with the agreements clause in subdivision 20:10:20:03(4).
