To be appointed as a primary nurse instructor and to teach the required curriculum set forth in § 20:48:18:09, an individual must: (1) Hold a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse license or privilege to practice in this state; (2) Have a minimum of two years of clinical licensed nursing experience; (3) Have a minimum of one year of licensed nursing experience in a nursing facility; (4) Have experience instructing adult students or completed a training course on adult instruction; and (5) Not be employed as the director of nursing in a nursing facility.
