As used in this chapter, continuing education means accredited educational experience derived from participation in approved lectures, seminars, or courses on plumbing laws, rules, regulations, and practices to maintain and improve the professional skills and upgrade the standard of all plumbing licensees for the purpose of protecting the health and welfare of the citizens of the State of South Dakota.
