gap. The air gap between the indirect waste and the building drainage system shall be at least twice the effective diameter of the drain served. Extend the indirect waste pipe to an open, accessible slop sink, floor drain, or other suitable fixture which is properly trapped or vented. The indirect waste shall terminate a sufficient distance above the flood level rim of the receiving fixture to provide the required air gap.
