requiring pedagogy test and coursework. For an individual who has completed an early childhood SPED preparation program, each of the endorsements listed in this section requires completion of state-designated coursework. The endorsements are: (1) Kindergarten; (2) Kindergarten through grade 12 classroom technology; (3) Kindergarten through grade 12 distant educator endorsement; (4) Elementary South Dakota Indian studies; (5) Elementary deaf or hearing impaired education; (6) Elementary blind or visually impaired education; (7) Secondary South Dakota Indian studies; (8) Secondary deaf or hearing impaired education; (9) Secondary blind or visually impaired education; and (10) Middle level learner. Effective July 1, 2019, passage of the state-designated pedagogy test is also required.
