district consolidation -- Prior academic progress goals and targets recalculated. If two or more public school districts consolidate under the provisions of SDCL chapter 13-6: (1) The academic progress goals and targets of the affected public schools shall be recalculated using the methodology in § 24:55:05:03 and shall be applied for the remaining years of the current cycle; and (2) If one or more of the affected schools has been classified as a comprehensive support and improvement school, the classification shall be removed by the department, notwithstanding the provisions of § 24:55:04:06.
