Each ground ambulance must be equipped with the following medical examination equipment and reference materials: (1) A sphygmomanometer with adult, child, and infant cuffs; (2) An adult stethoscope; (3) A pediatric stethoscope; (4) Disposable hypoallergenic examination gloves; (5) A pen light; (6) Glasgow coma scale reference; (7) Pediatric trauma score reference; (8) A pediatric vital signs card; (9) A thermometer with low temperature capability; (10) State-defined trauma team activation criteria; (11) A length-based resuscitation tape or reference material that provides appropriate guidance for pediatric drug dosing and equipment sizing based on length or age; and (12) Pediatric and adult patient care guidelines.
