The six levels of trauma hospital designation are: (1) Level I -- tertiary trauma hospital; (2) Level II -- regional trauma hospital; (3) Level III -- area trauma hospital; (4) Level IV -- community trauma hospital; (5) Level V -- trauma receiving hospital; and (6) Level VI -- non-trauma hospital.
