A kinship foster parent shall immediately report all incidents of suspected child abuse or neglect either to the department or to law enforcement. Upon the occurrence of any unusual incident of fire, death, runaway of a child, child and provider incompatibility, or serious injury to or serious illness of the kinship child living in the home that involves the kinship child, kinship foster parent, or kinship child's home, the kinship foster parent must ensure the child is safe and then immediately report the occurrence to the department’s placing worker. A kinship foster parent shall report any of the following to the department within twenty-four hours: (1) A change of address; (2) A change in the household size or composition; (3) A change in the home that impacts the care provided or the safety of the kinship child living in the home; and (4) Any involvement with child protection services or law enforcement concerning any allegation of child abuse or neglect.
