The following are the criteria for erection and maintenance of signs for organizations, nonprofit service clubs, and religious notices: (1) Notices may not exceed eight square feet; (2) Messages are limited to the name and the meeting time and place of an organization, service club, or religious service; (3) Service clubs may advertise free coffee for the traveling public and a donation may be accepted but may not be required; (4) Notices must be located a minimum of 300 feet from the intersection or interchange leading to the activity; (5) Notices must be a minimum of 300 feet from any other sign; and (6) Only one notice may face each direction of travel.
