criteria for official signs and notices. Public officers or public agencies may erect and maintain official signs and notices on territory within their jurisdiction pursuant to authority contained in federal, state, or local law for the purpose of carrying out an official duty or responsibility. Official signs and notices must meet the criteria in § 70:04:03:04 and subdivisions 70:04:03:16(4), (5), and (6).
