74:02:05:01Definitions.

Terms defined by SDCL 46-1-6 and §§ 74:02:01:01 and 74:02:04:20 have the same meaning when used in this chapter. In addition, terms used in this chapter mean: (1) "Water shortage," the lessened water supply conditions existing in an aquifer during a period of substantially less than average annual recharge.
