use of DPD colorimetric test kit. Certified water treatment and water distribution operators and third-party technical assistance providers are approved to use DPD colorimetric test kits, in addition to the methods specified in C.F.R. § 141.131(c)(1) (July 1, 2018), to measure residual disinfectant concentrations for chlorine, chloramines, and chlorine dioxide.
