South Dakota would create a new taskforce to study how artificial intelligence is affecting the state across different sectors and institutions. The taskforce would include 18 members representing the legislature, various industries (health care, banking, retail, manufacturing, technology), schools, county and municipal government, law enforcement, and the judicial and higher education systems. This is a new study group with no changes to existing law.
