School coaches are now required by law to report suspected child abuse or neglect to authorities, just like teachers, doctors, and other professionals already are. Coaches who know or have reasonable cause to suspect a child has been abused or neglected must follow the same reporting procedures as other mandatory reporters, or they can face criminal penalties for failing to report.
This bill does not directly amend codified state law.
