of employee restrictions for certain symptoms. The person in charge may remove restrictions as follows: (1) A restriction specified in subdivision 44:02:07:07(2)(a) if the restricted person: (a) Is free of the symptoms specified in subdivision 44:02:07:06(2) and no foodborne illness occurs that may have been caused by the restricted person; (b) Is suspected of causing foodborne illness but is free of the symptoms specified in subdivision 44:02:07:06(2) and provides written medical documentation from a physician stating the following: (i) That the restricted person is free of the infectious agent that is suspected of causing the person's symptoms or causing foodborne illness; or (ii)That the symptoms experienced result from a chronic noninfectious condition, such as ulcerative colitis or irritable bowel syndrome; or (2) A restriction specified in subdivision 44:02:07:07(2)(b) if the restricted person provides written medical documentation that indicates the stools are free of Salmonella spp.
